What is Ellenex Solution for Water Pipeline Monitoring?

A recent field deployment, shown in the image above, exemplifies a modular, remote monitoring system that addresses these challenges. It combines the non-invasive measurement of a solar powered water flow meter with the rugged IoT intelligence of Ellenex sensors. Beneath the flow meter are Ellenex NB-IoT-enabled sensor nodes/ sensing interfaces, each connected to pressure sensors and water quality sensors.

Ellenex sensors are:

  • Battery-powered for multi-year, maintenance-free operation

Our RM and RE series of products are configurable options to connect multiple sensors (either Ellenex’s or third-party sensors with 4-20mA, Modbus, etc).

In this way, compared to using 3 or 4 single-point interfaces,

  • The device needs less space to install

  • Installation time and cost are significantly lower

  • The total price of the device for multiple data points is lower

  • All devices will be shipped pre-configured to eliminate the complexities of device setup in the field (of course, you can re-configure the devices) Furthermore, the seamless integration into a comprehensive Ellenex Software Platform and Ellenex Mobile App also offers a holistic approach to data monitoring and analysis. This allowed our client to transition from reactive to proactive decision-making, setting the stage for a transformative journey. It also gives the user the flexibility to pull the data to their own software platform via the Restful API option as opposed to the MQTT configuration, which is also an alternate option available.
