Solution
Ellenex's submersible level sensors, powered by Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology, offer a comprehensive solution for remote diesel delivery management. Two types of sensors can be utilized in this solution:
PLS2-N standard level sensor for the tank at the destination: This sensor is installed in the destination tank and provides near real-time monitoring of diesel levels. It is capable of accurately measuring the diesel level, even in harsh environments, and can send the data to the cloud using NB-IoT connectivity. The sensor can also provide alerts when the diesel level reaches a predefined threshold, enabling proactive replenishment planning and avoiding stockouts.
PLG2-N level sensor with GPS for the truck to track its movements and diesel level: This sensor is installed in the delivery truck and offers both diesel level monitoring and GPS tracking capabilities. It can provide near real-time data on the diesel level in the truck, allowing for optimal route planning and scheduling of deliveries. Additionally, the GPS tracking feature enables near real-time tracking of the truck's movements, helping to ensure that the delivery is on schedule and the truck is operating efficiently.
Benefits:
Using NB-IoT powered submersible level sensors for remote diesel delivery management offers several benefits:
Real-time visibility: The sensors provide near real-time monitoring of diesel levels in both the truck and the destination tank, enabling proactive replenishment planning and avoiding stockouts or overfills.
Improved operational efficiency: With accurate data on diesel levels and GPS tracking of the truck's movements, delivery scheduling and route planning can be optimized, reducing unnecessary trips and associated costs.
Remote monitoring: The sensors enable remote monitoring of diesel levels, eliminating the need for manual checks and reducing labor-intensive tasks.
Proactive alerts: The sensors can send alerts when the diesel level reaches a predefined threshold, enabling timely replenishment planning and avoiding stockouts.
In contrast to numerous alternatives in the market, Ellenex's remote diesel delivery solution has a proven track record of reliable performance over extended periods. Moreover, it offers seamless integration with other monitoring solutions through its API, enabling adaptability and interoperability with various systems for efficient diesel delivery operations.

One of the challenges in managing remote diesel deliveries is the lack of real-time visibility into diesel levels in both the delivery truck and the destination tank. This can result in inefficient delivery scheduling, unnecessary trips, and potential stockouts or overfills. Traditional methods of manual monitoring or periodic checks are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to errors, leading to increased costs and operational inefficiencies.

DMSD-N
Industrial Outdoor LoRaWAN Gateway Specifications
For customers deploying the LoRaWAN package, the high-performance industrial gateway provides complete self-managed coverage. It is pre-configured to forward packet data to the Ellenex Platform.

System Architecture
The integrated Solution telemetry platform is designed around a dual-LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) hardware architecture, giving operators the flexibility to deploy either LoRaWAN or cellular-based (supporting NB-IoT and LTE Cat M1) network configurations depending on local infrastructure and regional topology. Both communication technologies represent the cutting edge of industrial IoT, designed to penetrate challenging physical barriers and achieve multi-kilo meter propagation distances while maintaining extremely low electrical current draws.
The Ellenex telemetry pipeline follows a streamlined 4-step end-to-end data flow designed to give customers total choice over their network infrastructure and software platform:
-
Sensor: The single Ellenex battery-powered field device directly measures physical parameters, digitizes analog signals, applies factory calibration parameters, packages telemetry into AES-128 encrypted payloads, and manages low-power sleep modes within a unified unit. Learn More:

Wireless Infrastructure Options:
-
Option A (LoRaWAN Option): Transmits sub-GHz radio packets to an Ellenex Pre-Configured Outdoor Gateway. The gateway acts as a transparent Layer-1/Layer-2 RF-to-IP bridge. Learn More
-
Option B (Cellular NB-IoT / LTE-M Option): Transmits encrypted telemetry directly across licensed 3GPP cellular networks to public mobile base station towers. Learn More.

3. Network Core & Data Routing Layer: Encrypted sub-GHz packets are securely routed from the gateway to the Ellenex Network Server (LNS). The LNS manages crucial network functions—including device authentication, payload decryption, and frame deduplication—ensuring clean, secure sensor data is seamlessly delivered to Ellenex Software Platform.
4. Data Processing & Platform Visualization: All telemetry is ingested, decoded, and visualized seamlessly within the Ellenex Cloud Software Platform. The software transforms raw sensor data into actionable insights through real-time dashboards, historical trend analysis, threshold alerting, and device health management.
